We all know our Zodiac signs- the usual ones we mean- Aquarius, Pisces, Aires, etc. but do you know that the Chinese have a different way of assigning zodiac signs to people? In China, every zodiac sign corresponds to that of an animal. This means they have 12 animals for 12 zodiac signs and they believe that the person born in that zodiac acquires the personality attributes of that animal. In China, your zodiac sign is determined by your year of birth. So check what is yours and how true is it!

Year-of-The-Rat

Year of the Rat (1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020): These are very charming people who are quite sociable and popular and are good in business. They are known for their quick temper and critical streak. They are naturally intellectual and process information easily. They are passionate and loving and value relationships. Famous rats: Pope Francis, Prince Charles.

Year-of-The-Ox

Year of the Ox (1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021): Their sign signifies strength and they make good managers. They are very responsible, systematic and confident. They do have a negative side though as they can be really chauvinistic sometimes and will defend their ideology anyhow. They are very dutiful but this leads them to living a structured but boring life. They make great loyal partners. Famous Oxen: Barrack Obama, Morgan Freeman

Year of the Tiger (1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022): Tigers are good leaders and known for their courage and dignity in overcoming hardships and negativities of life. They are also sensitive, emotional and make great lovers. They know how to maintain a balance between their competitive nature and the need for love. They get easily affected by criticism. Year-of-The-Rabbit-Hare

Year of the Rabbit/Hare (1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023): These people are well mannered who like to avoid disputes and controversies. They are timid and affectionate but they also exhibit traits of being conservative, quiet and intellectual. They make good loving partners and love the security in a relationship. Year-of-The-Dragon

Year of the Dragon (1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024): Dragon people are known to be perfectionists and hence can be very demanding.  These are charismatic, energetic people who have many talents and are intelligent. They are always full of energy. They enjoy challenges and situations that require their skills and talents. They are generally non-commital towards relationships and are known to be secretive. Year-of-The-Snake

Year of the snake (1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025): These are the “thinkers” of the Chinese zodiac who possess great wisdom but are subtle workers. They have a tendency to display jealousy but are generally romantic and charming in their relationships. They aren’t very sociable and prefer solitude over company.
